Materials Used:
Paper: Derwent Watercolour Paper 300gsm
Watercolour Paint: Reeves Watercolour Pan and tubes.
Gouache Paint: Winsor & Newton Designers Gouache – Permanent White
Brushes: Round paint brushes sizes 000, 2, 4 & 8

This is my first time designing an artwork like this. I only started watercolour painting at the start of this month. I’ve been contemplating whether I would be able to create a piece good enough to enter this competition. But let’s face it; the rewards are too tempting to not give it a go.

Thanks to this competition I was able to test out my creativity and ability to take on something new; even when I was convinced I couldn’t draw to save my life; let alone colour between the lines.

I hope this will inspire someone else who wanted to enter this competition but didn’t think they were artistic enough to give it a go.
