Greetings fellow adventurers,
Here are some strategies and tips on exploring the new Everfrost & Guardian update.
1) Begin with following through the story quest. It can be done even if you're a new adventurer and the quest rewards can be particularly helpful at that stage.
2) While following the story quest, always remember to visit the portals at each town to unlock them. This is particularly important as fast travel saves significant Everfrost exploration time.
3) Depending on your location and the next location you're traveling to, it is often faster to first return to a [Nearby Town] before autopathing.
4) Fish for [Crystal Smelt] at towns in Everfrost. The fish can be used for cooking [Fried Cystal Smelt]s which can be used for a Combat EXP buff or sold in the market.
5) Complete the weekly task from NPC [Baturnil] at [Snowstorm Guard Post] by handing over a [Fried Crystal Smelt] to receive 1 [Voidsent Eye].
6) Look out for knowledge(?) signs and collect them while you're traveling.
7) Refer to online guides for easy completion of knowledge and collection.
8) Always keep an eye on how much [Citron Tea] duration you have, including the maximum of 7[Citron Tea]s you can have stored. Try not to let them go to waste.
9) Hot Time buffs do NOT apply in the Everfrost area. [Flute of Unity] buff does apply.
10) Use soup buffs to increase [Field Item Drop Rate] and Combat EXP.
11) Complete up to 3 weekly missions at the [Mercenary Board] in towns for more [Citron Tea].
12) Look out for the [Eilton Defense] icon whenever it appears and take note of when it will occur if you have not completed your weekly entry.
13) If the monsters in the Everfrost are way above your CP, I would recommend using your exploration time for Excavations.
Do note that as at the time of writing, some contents like the [Eilton Defense] has a 39000 CP requirement and [Mercenary Board] is only available after completing the Story - "Drieghan, the Land of Dragons".
I hope it helps. Have fun!
