However, I wanted to share a sincere suggestion that I believe could significantly improve the gameplay experience and player retention.

One of the most impactful improvements you could consider is learning from AFK Journey, one of the most acclaimed mobile games of 2024. What makes AFK Journey stand out is its 24/7 passive resource farming system, where players accumulate combat rewards even when they’re offline, and can simply log in to claim them. This system allows players to focus more on exploring the story, completing collections, and enjoying meaningful content — instead of feeling pressured to keep their phones running endlessly.

In contrast, Black Desert Mobile currently feels like a constant rush, often stressing players out with repetitive and time-consuming farming. Many players, myself included, believe this “grind-heavy” loop is a major reason why people burn out and quit the game. The need to keep the game on 24/7 for AFK farming not only wastes time and battery, but also feels like an outdated mechanic.

I believe implementing a passive farming system, especially in special regions like the Desert, Rift, or Everfrost, would bring incredible value. It would respect players’ time and allow them to enjoy the parts of the game that truly shine — such as weekly bosses, co-op content, Node Wars, and the Black Sun. These are moments where the game feels rewarding and engaging.

Black Desert Mobile has all the potential in the world to be a top-tier mobile MMORPG. But right now, it’s held back by systems that feel more like chores than entertainment. Players should look forward to logging in, not feel obligated to do the same repetitive tasks day after day.
