Good day Adventure!
please someone correct me if im wrong, if not mistaken the chest color in the loot level explains highter tier of loots you can get in that map, the Level beside the chest determines the chances of getting those loot (Higher level equals to higher chances). The Higher the Combat Points difference of the map and your character the highter the chances you can get rare loot. But it doesnt mean that you cant get loots from the lower level map because your cp is much highter than the cp of the map, of course you can although it wont give you purple i guess, example in balenos area i think the best equip you can get is only blue ones. Please someone correct me if im wrong, and hit heart if i help you out thank you!
DISCLAIMER: THE FOLLOWING IS PURELY MY OPINION FROM TESTING, THERE IS NO OFFICIAL ANSWER FROM PEARL ABYSS ABOUT HOW THE LOOT SYSTEM WORKS IN BDM GLOBAL.
Loot colour and number = Relative to the level of the loot.
Green loot 1 = Loot lvl 36 (Trina Fort, Southeast Calpheon)
Green loot 6 = Loot lvl 41 (Lake Kaia, Southwest Calpheon)
Green loot 10 = Loot lvl 45 (Inner Mansha Forest)
(do you see the pattern?)
Green loot = Loot Lvl 35 - 45
Blue loot = Loot Lvl 46 - 67
Purple loot = Loot Lvl (67-70) - XXX
I don’t think loot colour has anything to do with the loot drops. Its just a classification of loot level.
Now this is the speculation part:
Loot number = Multiplier for loot to drop.
Think of it like:
Loot number 1 = + 10% higher chance to drop
Loot number 2 = + 20% higher chance to drop
Loot number 3 = + 30% higher chance to drop, etc.
I’m not saying that Loot number 1 exactly equals to +10%. The point I’m saying is that’s how it works from my understanding through observation. The actual values, I don't know.
Higher number = higher frequency of drops is what I observed. Again, I do not know the exact drop rates.
Case example: Imagine a scenario where a yellow liverto bow is put at a 0.0001% chance to drop. At Loot level 1, the chance would be 0.00011 and at Loot level 10, it would be 0.0002 (+100% drop rate). The rates are higher, but still abysmal. During hot time or events, the rate becomes 0.00023 (+30% increased drop rate). With outlaw and chicken soup, it becomes 0.00024 (30% +5% +5%). You get the point.
I think all you really need to pay attention to is the loot table and the loot number (the number beside the chest).
By the way, I wrote a guide for those stuck after 2500CP on how to get CP up to 3100 and beyond, do check it out if you're interested! Its about a 12 minute read, thanks.
