I'm guessing we won't be allowed to take one character and switch to a different server with said character. For example I'm in hiedel server and my friends are in mediah server. Would I have to make a whole new character?

Logicaly i think that as long as account at one global location, America ,Europe or Asia the play with friends should be fine at diferent servers.

But need to be tested as this is new version of a game.

In BDO those chinals Heidel or Media made only to assist the capturing spots and relive load of players on servers.

I think this might be also the case here at BDM. The only way to know of you somehow switch the server.

If you have two phones or devices that can run BDM you then might try a trick of switching servers to know for sure.
