CP based rank and ramoness matches instead of rank based or random. Some players only take 5 to 7 skills to click and have a kill, while others need to rotate a full combo again and again just to deplete half of opponents HP bar. You can just remove the CP based matches once they reached
a certain height in rank like Diamond or Master in rank arena, and maybe at 7k or 6k points in Ramoness. And can somehow increase the rewards (add valks) only on the highest rank (Challenger and 9.1k points) to intrigue more players in the arena. Starting placement matches should stay on random matchmaking.

I guess the issue on why there are so little players in rank arena, which is why it takes a lot of time for matchmaking is that players felt unfair during their matches and thinking that doing these rank-based rank matches would be boring and a waste of time as high CP players will only bully them. While high CP players thinking that it will be easy to climb up the rank because of their CP and will just stop doing rank matches after reaching the highest rank or points in the arena. Make the arena fair for all to make it more fun, and challenging in achieving the highest rank.

I agree, in arena it’s either a certain win or a certain defeat if you’re not ridiculously strong.
