I am lvl 72 Gladiator with 7.8k cp and I just played against a 67 paladin in normal arena. His attack abilities were over powering mine the only reason why I won 2 out of the 3 matches was my damage out put was higher than his. Whenever I play against a paladin I feel the match is in their favor 70% for them and 30 % for me unless I get lucky.
